Archery Safety Class:
Hunter Safety Classes are held at the range for anyone 12 years of age or older wishing to obtain a license to hunt with a firearm in the State of New York. This class is held on (2) Saturdays and you must attend both class dates. Registration for this class is in person only at the range. You cannot register online or by phone.

Hunter Safety Class:
This class is available to range members who possess a valid pistol license. It must for any Premise License or Carry Pistol License Holder. This class will consist of the New York State Article 35 of the Penal Law for civilians on the use of a firearm, justification and live defense shooting techniques for permit holder. It will also include owner’s responsibilities, owner’s liabilities and firearms tactics to include drawing from a holster and target recognition.
Permit Holders Legal Justification And Live Defensive Shooting Class:
This course is a review of the 47 Hour Firearms Training Course which includes complete familiarization with and discussion of, Article 35 of the New York State Penal Law, the nomenclature for all service weapons which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties. Use of firearms and standard safety precautions will be emphasized. Loading and Unloading, sighting, proper grip, trigger control and effective range of the respective weapons will be covered. All authorized weapons will be fired for familiarization. All service handguns which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties will be fired for qualification. The course includes ammunition and targets.
8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards:
All security guards are required to complete an 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course prior to applying to the Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card, followed by a 16 Hour On-the-Job Training Course for Security Guards within 90 days of initial employment as a security guard, and annually complete an 8 Hour Annual In-service Training Course for Security Guards every year thereafter.
8 Hour Annual In-Service Training Course for Security Guards:
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) is a United States federal law, enacted in 2004, that allows two classes of persons—the "qualified law enforcement officer" and the "qualified retired law enforcement officer" -- to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of any state or local law to the contrary, with certain exceptions.  Fee for this class is $50.00.  
There will be a $40.00 fee for each additional firearm you choose to qualify with.
NY HR218 (LEOSA) Training Course:
Basic Pistol Instruction Class is a lecture class in the use and safe handling of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers as well as nomenclature of firearms.  It is recommended for individuals who have little or no experience with firearms.  Especially for those who are interested in applying for a pistol license.   This class is free of charge to members.
